March 26th & 27th: Beginner Wheel Boot Camp

If you've always wanted to learn the ins and outs of throwing on the wheel, but can't commit to one of our 6-week classes, then this is the class for you!

Running from 10:00am to 2:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday, this 2-day intensive course will cover all the basics you need to get started on the wheel. We will spend 3 1/2 hours each day going through the steps of clay preparation, centering, throwing, and trimming on the wheel (1/2 hour included for breaks and cleanup, an equally important step of the process).

Clay and firing of your pieces is included in the package, as well as a 2-hour glazing workshop that we will schedule 2-3 weeks after this class. In the week commencing class, you can come in and finish up your work on your own time and continue practicing, which gives you a feel for our studio membership. In the end you will have your own work to take home, as well as all the knowledge you need if you would like to become a studio member and continue working with clay on your own time!

We take a minimum of 3, and a maximum of 5 students in this session. Studio members can attend at a discounted price, but remember this is a beginners class, so we will be covering all the basics you might already be familiar with.

Recommended age 14 and up. Students under 14 should check out our kid's classes & kits.
